# database (base de datos)

Where your app remembers things between visits, like accounts or saved recipes.

**Analogy:** A filing cabinet with labelled drawers.

**Example:** For example, when a user saves a favourite recipe and opens the app tomorrow on their phone, the database is where that recipe was kept.
