# `zsh: command not found: git`

**Where it appears:** Terminal

**What it means:** Your computer doesn't have Git installed yet, so it can't save checkpoints of your project.

## Likely causes

- Git hasn't been installed yet (or the macOS command line developer tools prompt wasn't accepted).
- The coding agent app wasn't restarted after installing Git.
