# `You are not logged into any GitHub hosts. Run gh auth login to authenticate.`

**Where it appears:** Terminal

**What it means:** The GitHub CLI (`gh`) isn't connected to your GitHub account on this computer yet, or your login token expired.

## Likely causes

- The GitHub login step in one-time setup hasn't been completed on this computer.
- You revoked the device token in your GitHub account settings.

## Message for your agent

```text
The GitHub CLI says I'm not logged in. Start `gh auth login` for GitHub.com with HTTPS and web browser login, give me the one-time code, and wait while I authorize it in my browser.
```

**Prevention:** Check `gh auth status` once during setup so your agent can create repos and pull requests smoothly.
