# Your folder is inside iCloud, OneDrive or Dropbox: how to move it

**What you see:** Your Development folder is on the Desktop, in Documents or in a synced drive.

**Why it happens:** Sync services copy files while Git is writing them. That can corrupt your repo's memory.

## How to fix it

1. Make sure your work is pushed to GitHub.
2. Ask your agent to help move the folder to your home folder (not Desktop or Documents if those sync).
3. Reopen the session in the new location.

**How to prevent it:** GitHub is your backup: you don't need a sync service for code.
