# You're lost: how to resume a session and see where you are

**What you see:** You opened a new session and don't know what was done or what's next.

**Why it happens:** Each session starts fresh. The memory lives in your files: `SPEC.md`, `tasks/todo.md` and the commits.

## How to fix it

1. Open the session inside your project folder.
2. Ask your agent where you are on the Path.
3. Say so if you feel lost: the agent slows down and explains another way.

## Message for your agent

**How to prevent it:** Your agent updates `tasks/todo.md` at the end of every session.
